The branches are loaded with pink bell-shaped flowers during spring. This shrub is still a stunner even after the flowers fade, thanks to the variegated foliage with dark green centers and chartreuse margins. Plant this deciduous bush in beds or borders, or create a colorful mass planting. Use it to form a lovely hedge along a foundation wall or patio. Pollinators will visit the springtime flowers, but deer usually leave Weigela alone. Grow the Bubbly Wine™ Weigela as a perennial in zones 4 through 8.
