Gorgeous pure red blooms with deeper steaks and spots in the throat that burst on the scene in spring and again in summer against evergreen foliage. Attracted to butterflies and visual attention and is resistant to heat. It is bold and beautiful for planting anywhere in the garden. Can be used as an accent, mass planting, and as a general garden use. Size: Ships 12" tall and 12" wide Sun:Needs full sun to partial shading Hardiness Zone: 5 to 10 Make sure the soil drains well; After planting, mulch the base of the plant. Water after planting and during the first year to establish. Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage- very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plant are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in fall and winter and will lose most of their leaves - looking dead and dry - very normal. They will flush out in spring. We cannot send ship some plants and some sizes to California due to restrictions placed by department of agriculture.
