US Secretary of State Marco Rubio doesn't have "high expectations" for the talks, which could see Ukraine and Russia restart direct negotiations to end the war.

U.S. President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin were still "maybes" for what could be the first direct peace talks between Moscow and Kyiv in years after the Kremlin on Wednesday held off disclosing who would represent Russia.

President Trump said “nothing's going to happen” with the Ukraine peace talks until he and President Vladimir Putin get together. The Kremlin announced that Putin would be skipping the direct negotiations in Turkey.
