Authorities say the woman was prevented from bringing the white miniature schnauzer with her because of a paperwork issue.

Police believe a woman arrested on an animal cruelty charge Tuesday drowned her dog in an Orlando International Airport restroom because she couldn’t take it on her flight.

Alison Agatha Lawrence was arrested for aggravated animal abuse, after allegedly drowning her dog inside a bathroom at Orlando International Airport in December 2024.
