A senior German lawmaker from the Greens on Monday blamed Chancellor Olaf Scholz for blocking a further military aid package for Ukraine, despite the ongoing bloody fight against the Russian invasion.

The German government is still working on delivering a €3 billion aid package to Ukraine, but the process remains incomplete due to fiscal challenges, according to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

"We are ready, but the chancellor must know what he wants," Johann Wadeful said, adding that Scholz was "going back and forth" on the issue. Wadeful argued that any hesitation only encouraged Vladimir Putin to continue his actions.

The German government has prepared everything necessary to provide Ukraine with additional military assistance worth €3 billion, but discussions are still ongoing. The funds are not yet available because the country's new budget has not been approved.
