Despite President Donald Trump says Democrats are "not getting much" in the government funding deal the House is set to vote on Wednesday, it does include a provision that would reverse the firings of thousands federal workers that he carried out during the shutdown.

Trump signed legislation ending the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, roughly two hours after the House of Representatives voted for a bill to restart government funding.

The Republican-controlled House is due to vote Wednesday afternoon on a compromise that would restore funding to government agencies and end a shutdown that started on October 1.
