Donald Trump on Thursday urged a federal judge to toss out two obstruction charges central to the case that the former U.S. president illegally sought to overturn his 2020 election defeat, citing a recent U.

Twitter, now known as X, had argued it should have been able to tell former President Donald Trump about federal prosecutor's request for his messages.

The U.S. Supreme Court declined on Monday to hear a challenge by Elon Musk's social media platform X on free speech grounds of a judge's order that barred the company from telling Donald Trump about a prosecutor's seizure of direct messages and other data associated with the former president's Twitter account.
