The Mirage hosted a hiring event for the property's more than 3,000 employees before the resort closes on July 17 and renovations begin to transform the hotel and casino into The Hard Rock Las Vegas.

The Mirage will host a closing ceremony on Wednesday starting at 9 a.m. to honor the history and legacy of the first true mega-resort on the Strip. The property will then officially close at 11 am.
