For the second year in a row, a Travis County district court once again blocked the Texas Education Agency from releasing its A-F accountability ratings for Texas school districts and campuses Sept. 18.

A Travis County judge issued an order Wednesday prohibiting the Texas education commissioner from releasing A-F school performance ratings.

Texas schools won’t receive A-F accountability grades after a judge granted a new order temporarily blocking them on Wednesday. A coalition of school districts sued over the system alleging that the grades are invalid because they’re based on flawed STAAR tests. A trial on the case is set for February.
