Stellantis denies breaking the terms of the labor contract it signed with the United Auto Workers union only a year ago.

The automaker is taking legal action against the union's threat to walk off over delayed investments in some of Stellantis' assembly plants, including the shuttered Belvidere site.

Chrysler parent Stellantis filed a federal lawsuit against the United Auto Workers, saying the union has violated its contract by threatening to strike over the company's delays in planned investment.
