Starbase, the headquarters of Elon Musk's SpaceX, is officially a Texas city. Residents voted in favor of its incorporation in Saturday's election.

"I think it's clear in this example that most of the reasons are being provided by SpaceX," Bojorquez said of the possible motivations behind seeking incorporation.
