The Israeli military issued a new wave of evacuation orders in northern Gaza Sunday, gearing up for another battle against Hamas as President Trump called for the war to end and all hostages to be freed. “Make the deal in Gaza, get the hostages back,” Trump posted Sunday on Truth Social platform.

US President Donald Trump on Sunday urged progress in ceasefire talks in the 20-month war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas, though some weary Palestinians were skeptical about the chances. Israel issued a new mass evacuation order for parts of northern Gaza.

International aid organizations warn that the last remaining major hospital in southern Gaza is facing a lack of supplies and staff to treat the wounded and sick.

Amid these stalled negotiations, the Israel Defense Forces announced the elimination of Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa--one of the founders of Hamas' military wing--describing him as a mastermind of the October 7, 2023, attack in a late Saturday night post.
