SALT LAKE CITY — A plane pilot was killed on Saturday near Apple Valley after the small aircraft she was operating crashed in Washington County. Sgt. Lucas Alfred with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said the pilot was a female, and was driving a single engine aircraft near the Utah-Arizona border when the crash occurred.

A 40-year-old female pilot from Boulder City, Nevada, died in a plane crash Saturday morning near the Utah-Arizona border, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
