Russia launched its deadliest aerial assault so far this year on Ukraine, killing 16 people, including a 12-year-old child, according to Ukrainian officials.

A massive Russian drone and missile barrage killed at least 19 people in cities across Ukraine, more than four years into the war with talks on ending the conflict stalled.

Russia fired a total of 286 drones at Ukraine overnight, 260 of which were downed, the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement.
