Nvidia is reportedly being investigated by the Department of Justice over an acquisition as well as its practices on the sale of its microchips used to power artificial-intelligence applications.

Regulators have not filed a formal complaint against Nvidia, which also dealt with Justice Department subpoenas in 2006 over an antitrust investigation into its graphics chips.
