Gunshots were fired in the vicinity of Donald Trump at his Palm Beach golf course, his campaign has confirmed.

A Secret Service investigation exposed new security breakdowns leading up to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump that critically injured two and killed one at a Pennsylvania campaign rally in July.

Lawmakers on the congressional task force investigating the assassination attempt plan to release a full report Dec. 13.

Donald Trump is safe after gunshots were reported in his vicinity Sunday afternoon in Florida, his campaign and the Secret Service said. It was not immediately clear whether the reported shots were targeted at the Republican presidential nominee.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said there had been a shooting “on the grounds” of Mr. Trump’s course there while the former president was at the club.
