LONDON (Reuters) - Prince Harry has been subjected to "unlawful and unfair treatment" by the British government over the decision to take away his police protection when he is in Britain, his lawyer told London's High Court on Tuesday.

Prince Harry's lawyers are to demand his taxpayer-funded protection is restored as they claim it was unfair to remove police help.

Prince Harry has “unjustifiably” been “treated less favourably than others” over his security arrangements when visiting the UK, a court has been told. Lawyers for the Duke of Sussex are appearing at the High Court to challenge a ruling that he would no longer be given the “same degree” of personal protective security as he had as a working royal.

Prince Harry’s battle against the government’s decision to strip him of his security detail when he moved to the US goes to the High Court on Tuesday. The three-day hearing is one of five legal cases that Harry has pending in the High Court.
