American ski racer Breezy Johnson won the Olympic downhill Sunday with a hard-charging run on a day marred by teammate Lindsey Vonn’s crash. It marks the first US medal of the Winter Games.

The first medal for the United States comes courtesy of Breezy Johnson, who became just the second American woman to win gold in the women’s downhill.
