The Israeli military on Saturday renewed its orders for Palestinian in the northern Gaza Strip to leave their homes and shelters as troops press on a weeklong offensive against militants. Most of the fighting in the past week was centered in and around Jabaliya that was pounded by Israeli war jets and artillery.

The high toll and Israel’s use of a warplane were unusual for the Israeli military’s operations in the West Bank, which have escalated during the war in Gaza.

Israeli airstrikes targeted the Ras el-Nabaa neighborhood in central Beirut, Lebanon, resulting in at least 22 fatalities and 117 injuries, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, as reported by Al Jazeera.
