Israeli airstrikes on an Iranian ‘chemical warfare centre’ in Syria late Sunday killed 14 people and injured at least 40 others, according to the Syrian news agency SANA. Syrian air defences “confronted an aggression that targeted several points in the central region,” according to the state-run news agency.

The Israeli army issued on Monday new evacuation orders for Palestinian civilians in large areas of northwestern Gaza ahead of an imminent military offensive. The new orders were issued after the Israeli army claimed that rockets were fired by Palestinian fighters from Gaza's northwest towards Israel.
