Mexican Mafia gangbanger John Turscak told feds he’d have killed infamous ex-officer had prison guards not gotten there so fast

U.S. officials have charged an Arizona inmate with seriously injuring Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of killing George Floyd, in a prison stabbing attack last week.

The ex-gang member and former FBI informant said he saw the opportunity to attack Chauvin on Nov. 24, on Black Friday, according to investigators.

John Turscak told FBI agents he attacked Derek Chauvin on Black Friday because he believed it had a symbolic connection to Black Lives Matter.
