A First Alert Weather Day has been declared for Tuesday and into Wednesday morning as a rare Winter Storm Warning has been issued beginning Tuesday afternoon across much of our area.

As the Wiregrass area is bracing for a historic winter weather event this week, the National Weather Service in Tallahassee has now issued a Winter Storm Warning for all counties in our coverage area beginning Tuesday afternoon.

Another major winter storm is expected to slam portions of the central and eastern U.S. this week, with heavy snow and strong winds threatening to induce dangerous travel conditions, knock out power and ground flights, forecasters warned.
