A First Alert Weather Day has been declared for Tuesday and into Wednesday morning as a rare Winter Storm Warning has been issued beginning Tuesday afternoon across much of our area.

As the Wiregrass area is bracing for a historic winter weather event this week, the National Weather Service in Tallahassee has now issued a Winter Storm Warning for all counties in our coverage area beginning Tuesday afternoon.

A Winter Storm Warning Southeast Texas will go into effect Monday at 6 p.m. through Tuesday at 6 p.m. Three to five inches of snow is expected across the Houston area, with higher totals possible.
