Fromhold Correctional Facility on State Road died after he was assaulted by his cellmate early Thursday morning, police said. But court records obtained by The Inquirer show Rocco Carbonaro should not have behind bars at the time.

Authorities in Philadelphia are looking for a prisoner who escaped custody Thursday afternoon. Gino Hagenkotter, an inmate at the Riverside Correctional Facility, was on work detail at an orchard outside the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center when he walked off without permission
