Judge Paula Xinis questioned the Justice Department over the timing of a criminal investigation of Salvadorian migrant Abrego Garcia, who was returned after his erroneous deportation.

Emil Bove, a top DOJ official who has been nominated to be an appellate judge, is the subject of whistleblower allegations.

The whistleblower said the official “stated that DOJ would need to consider telling the courts ‘f**k you’” and ignore any orders to stop the hasty deportation of migrants.
