Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court has upheld a lower ruling that rejected a bid to get independent presidential candidate Cornel West on the battleground state's ballot for the November election.

Independent presidential candidate Cornel West will not make Pennsylvania's ballot after the battleground state's Supreme Court on Monday upheld a lower court ruling, and counties started printing ballots.

On Friday, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania vacated a case surrounding undated or misdated ballots. The majority ruled that the legal battle should involve all 67 boards of elections, not just Philadelphia and Allegheny counties.

The Pa. Supreme Court decision cleared the way for counties to begin printing and sending out mail ballots. Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt has certified the official list of candidates.
