U.S. employers announced just over 71,000 layoffs in November, according to outplacement firm Challenger, Gray and Christmas. That’s roughly half the amount from October when a surge in pink slips came from several of the nation’s bigger companies.

Verizon, Amazon, Target and Paramount are just a few of the many companies to have announced layoffs in 2025.
