BurgerFi, a national burger restaurant chain, has filed for bankruptcy. According to a media release, the Florida based chain filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. District Court of Delaware on Wednesday. The chain, which is comprised of 93 restaurants, also owns Anthony’s Coal fired Pizza.

The chain, which has most of its restaurants in New York, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina and Indiana, becomes the latest to file for bankruptcy this year – it follows Red Lobster and Buca di Beppo, among others, struggling in the industry.

Popular fast-casual pizza, grille and wing joint, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza (Anthony’s), has filed for bankruptcy. Parent company, BurgerFi International Inc., announced on Wednesday the company voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy “in order to preserve the value of its brands for all stakeholders.
