A Harborcreek neighborhood is now under a boil water advisory after a water outage affected the area. The Harbor Ridge subdivision is affected by the boil water advisory which went into effect Thursday night.

ST. LANDRY PARISH — A boil water advisory has been issued for the City of Opelousas following a water main break on Thursday, officials said.

City officials with the city of Denmark have issued a boil water advisory for water customers due to low water pressure for an extended period of time. Officials state that there are some customers who are experiencing low water pressure and others who have no water at all.

Around 100 Aiken water customers have been asked to boil their water before drinking. Residents of Plantation Drive and Spring Valley Court are asked to boil their water for one minute before consumption, the city announced in a news release Sept. 11. Plantation Drive and Spring Valley Court are in the Gem Lakes subdivision on Aiken's Southside.

Town officials explained that an afternoon water main break triggered the boil water advisory. Initially, the town believed the issue would be resolved before 5:30 p.m. However, the problem is projected to take longer than expected. Lincolnville is located between Summerville and Ladson.

The City of Ely has issued a water advisory for town, recommending consumers not drink the water till boiled or from a safe source.

A boil water advisory has been issued for three cities in eastern Jackson County on Sunday. The cities of Buckner, Levasy and Sibley are being advised to boil their water due to water line breaks and low water pressure.

The City of Ely has restored water service following a watermain break, but remains under a Boil Water Advisory, urging residents to boil or use bottled water for all consumption and food preparation until further notice.
