California Democratic gubernatorial candidate Antonio Villaraigosa accused former Vice President Kamala Harris, one of his possible competitors in the governor’s race, of being involved in a “systematic cover-up” to conceal former President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline from the public eye.

Harris calls herself a proud daughter of California, and after serving as vice president and in the Senate, she doesn’t need to chase another title. That said, California is one of the world’s largest economies by itself, and its governor becomes, by default, a national figure.
