Coinbase said at least 69,461 customers had personal and financial information stolen during a months-long data breach that it disclosed last week. The crypto giant confirmed the number of affected customers in a filing with Maine’s attorney general on Wednesday, as required by the state’s data breach notification law.

Coinbase refused to pay the $20M ransom for data that included names, emails and partial Social Security numbers. However, the company will cover any losses incurred.

The company said it wouldn't pay the ransom request, instead offering a reward for the hacker's arrest. A recent, high-profile breach of cryptocurrency platform Coinbase affected nearly 70,000 users.
