80-year-old's death marks 5th Grand Canyon National Park fatality within a month
An 80-year-old man fell into the Colorado River and died Sunday, marking the fifth death at the Grand Canyon National Park since July 31. At approximately 3:40 p.m., there was an emergency call about an 80-year-old man who had gone into the water after his boat flipped near Fossil Rapid on the Colorado River, according to the national park.
