NFL Draft week is here and along with it comes a new seven-round mock draft from Texans Wire contributor Logan Farlow

HOUSTON -- The 2024 NFL draft (8 p.m. ET on ESPN, ABC, ESPN App) begins Thursday and will be held in Detroit. The Houston Texans are scheduled to make nine of the draft's 257 picks, beginning with the No. 42 selection of the second round on Thursday night. ESPN will provide pick-by-pick analysis of each of the Texans' selections as they are made.

The Houston Texans traded for a pair of Pro Bowl talents earlier this offseason. According to general manager Nick Caserio, the Texans "probably" aren't done wheeling and dealing just yet. Caserio spoke to the media on Thursday ahead of next week's NFL draft,

McCormick can play either guard spot, or slide over to center in a pinch when necessary. Having a player in the second unit who can potentially reserve for three spots is a critical asset in case of injuries. And with McCormick’s athleticism profile, he could develop into a long-term piece for Houston.

HOUSTON — The Houston Texans won last year’s NFL draft by taking quarterback and AP Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud with the No. 2 pick before trading up to draft defensive end and AP Defensive Rookie of the Year Will Anderson Jr. third overall.

We all like to believe we know exactly what will happen on Thursday night in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft. But as is always the case, when it comes to the bottom of the first round, all bets are off.
