Election Day has arrived, and Fort Worth voters are favoring a higher tax rate for visitors to the city, according to unofficial early voting results in the May 4 election.

Tarrant County has released early voting totals for the city of Fort Worth’s Proposition A, which will add 2% to the city’s hotel occupancy tax.

Voters are overwhelmingly supporting a 2% increase in Fort Worth hotel taxes to fund the renovation of the Convention Center, according to unofficial early voting results.
