This morning, St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, located at 419 Old Humboldt Road in Jackson, welcomed guests to join them in honoring Palm Sunday. A liturgy was held at the church which included the congregation taking part in a procession around the church holding blessed leaves of palms, some holding decorated candles, and singing.

The Greek-Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III and other clergy celebrated Palm Sunday with a procession leading into the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where Jesus is believed to be buried.
