Russian forces struck Odesa with drones overnight, damaging residential buildings, and wounding nine people, including four children, Odesa Oblast Governor Oleh Kiper reported on April 23.
Ukraine’s military said Monday that Russia attacked the country overnight with seven drones and three guided missiles. The Ukrainian air force said air defenses shot down five of the drones, with all of the intercepts taking place over southern Ukraine’s Odesa region.
The Russians launched an attack using seven Shahed-131/136 UAVs and three S-300/S-40 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast on the night of 21-22 April. Ukraine's air defence has managed to down five drones.
Ukrainian air defense units destroyed 5 of the 7 Shahed-type drones, as well as one Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone, that Russia launched overnight, the Air Force reported on April 22.
