Ford announced that it would recall over 450,000 Bronco Sport SUVs and Maverick vehicles because of an issue with the battery that can cause the drive train to lose power and increase the likelihood of wrecks.
Ford will issue a recall of an estimated 456,565 vehicles because of a low battery issue that can result is loss of drive power, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Ford is recalling more than 450,000 compact SUVs and pickup trucks in the United States because they might lose drive power resulting from a battery issue, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in an alert.
Unexpected battery loss might go undetected in these vehicles, which could lead to a car being unable to restart or stall when coming to a stop at a low speed, NHTSA said.
